How the analysis actually works

Your document is converted to text and line-numbered, then passed to Claude Opus 5 with a structured brief: find what will cost this person money, freedom or leverage, quote the clause verbatim with its line number, compare it against what is customary for this contract type, and draft replacement wording.

The output is constrained to a fixed schema, so every finding must carry a risk level, a quote, a plain-English explanation, a market comparison and a redline. That constraint is the quality mechanism: a model that cannot produce a supporting quote cannot report the finding.

What it is good at

• Finding every clause of a given type, including in the exhibits nobody reads
• Explaining what a clause means in ordinary language, with your contract's own numbers
• Comparing a term against what is customary and saying which direction it deviates
• Drafting replacement wording you can put straight in front of a lawyer
• Naming what is missing — absent clauses cause more damage than bad ones
• Not getting bored on page forty

This is why every finding carries a quote and a line number. The report is designed to be checked, and to be handed to a lawyer so their hour goes on judgment rather than reading. It is not legal advice.

How your documents are handled

Uploaded text is sent to Anthropic's API to produce your analysis and answer your questions about that document. It is never used to train models — ours or anyone else's — and is not sold or shared. Deleting a contract in your dashboard removes the text, its analyses and its chat history from the database.

Before uploading anything to any AI tool, including this one, check what your own agreement says about disclosure to third parties. Many consumer AI products reserve the right to train on input. Our privacy policy is short and says what we do.

Pricing, honestly

The review is real: a calibrated risk score, the contract type, and the three most severe issues in your own document. It exists because a demo of your actual contract is more persuasive than any marketing copy, and because you should be able to judge the quality before paying.

A full review is $49, or $99 a month for 5. A credit is consumed only when a report is actually produced; if generation fails, it is returned automatically. If a report is materially wrong or unusable, email us within seven days and we refund it.

Who writes the guides

The ReviewMyContracts editorial team — Product and research. Guides are researched against primary sources and current market practice, then checked against the same clause checklists the product runs.

The guides have not been reviewed by a qualified lawyer, and they say so on every page rather than implying a review nobody gave. Full detail on sourcing and updates is on the methodology page.
